Dr. Peters earned her Bachelor of Science degree with a minor in Organic Chemistry from the University of South Carolina before earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in May 2025. She completed her clinical year at the University of Missouri and a rigorous small-animal rotating internship at the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine.
Passionate about lifelong learning and staying current with advances in veterinary medicine, Dr. Peters’ professional interests include pain management, preventive medicine, and surgery.
She especially enjoys connecting with and educating clients, believing that informed and involved pet owners play an important role in their pets’ overall health and well-being. She also has a special interest in low-stress handling to help make veterinary visits comfortable and positive for pets and their families.
Originally from upstate New York, Dr. Peters now calls North Carolina home. She shares her life with Mambo, her Staffordshire Terrier, whom she brought with her from St. Kitts. Outside the clinic, they enjoy walks and road trips. In her free time, she enjoys working out, baking, drawing, and exploring new hobbies.
